The 2026 season will see the Propain Rookies Cup, an international downhill racing series for young riders, come to Slovenia for the first time. The 2026 Propain Rookies Cup will feature five races across four countries, with Slovenia included for the first time. Kranjska Gora will host the series’ first race from May 22 to 24.
The youngest category in the series is U11 (mixed for boys and girls), followed by U13 and U15, which are separate for both genders. The oldest “serious” category is U17 for boys (the only one open only to licensed riders) and the combined U17/U19 for girls; in addition to these, there are also “open” categories for U17 and U19 boys and women 19+.
Slovenian individuals have already participated in the series; Jakob Praček became the overall winner in the U15 category last year.
